Artist Statement

I create pink-tinted magical realism, where grainy images of our world are touched by glitch.

This blend stems from the remarkable beginning of my life — as if I were raised at the junction of all tectonic plates, closely encountering worlds that usually run parallel.

I spent lonely summers in silence with old magazines; other times, retreated to the solitude of the bottomless internet. I found peace among misfits and looked up to creators and laborers. I watched the shimmering illusions of conspiracy fantasies and found grounding in meticulous academic research. I took pleasure in sweat and labor, yet cherished modern conveniences. Through Russian, Turkish, and English, I explored both Asia and Europe.

That’s why my art reflects on the world’s layered nature and social responsibility — on the pull toward life — through photography, video, posters, and performance, all wrapped in the sounds of everyday life and mysticism.

My mission is

to remind people of the pull toward life. Even when everything is falling apart, there is a source within that can hold us and lead us forward. My art shows that this source not only opens our eyes to the beauty in the world but also empowers us to look reality in the eye. Even if it means going through the mud, even if it means taking a risk — life is worth living.
